Grape(s): Teroldego
Region: Trentino, Italy
Vintage: 2019
Elisbetta Foradori is wine making royalty, and her Teroldego speaks to that. The grape was considered the king of reds to the Austrian royalty in the 18th century, and her wine making practice is a representation of why. Finding herself in charge of the family winery at 20, she slowly pushed her Dolomiti vineyard towards natural and biodynamic practices while maintaining superior standards of quality. This version of Teroldego is a gentler and more elegant take on the grape, visible in the rich ruby colour of the wine. That being said, the wine has great structure, body, and class. Instead of settling for yet another Cab, switch it out for this beauty. Thank you, Elisabetta.
