Revolutionary wine from a revolutionary winemaker. Ostertag helped bring biodynamic winemaking back to the Alsace, and his wines are pure poetry. This Sylvaner comes from old vines of up to 55 years in age (hence the name Vielles Vignes) , and its complexity speaks to it. Think rich honey with a pretty floral finish. Quite aromatic, truly warming. A good reminder of why we drink Alsace; best matched with an expertly crafted cheese plate on cold Saturday evenings.
