We are hiring a server. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of service experience in a full service restaurant or bar, ideally in a fast paced environment. A love of food, wine and cocktails is essential, and a strong base knowledge of wine, cocktails, beer, and spirits would be a significant asset. Although we are not currently looking for a bartender, professional bartending experience would also be an asset but it is not required. In order to be considered for a hybrid server/bartender position, previous bartending experience is mandatory. We are not a good spot to learn the basics of bartending. A desire to learn and grow is paramount.

This is a part-time position with room for growth. Candidate must be available to work two, maybe three shifts a week, including, but not limited to, Friday and Saturday nights. We are first and foremost a bar, so candidate must be comfortable working late hours. Scheduling preferences will be discussed during the hiring process. Smart Serve certification is required.

Responsibilities include:

• Serving tables. Taking and serving food and drink orders.
• Welcoming and engaging customers, and making recommendations based on guest preferences.
• Building relationships with regulars.
• Staying up to date on trends in food and beverage.
• Deep knowledge of our wine, cocktail, spirits, beer and cider list.
• Professional wine service. 
• Maintaining a clean work environment.
• Setting and clearing tables. Assisting other servers when needed. 
• Assisting with inventory when needed.
• Assisting with offsite and special events when needed.
  
• Opening, closing and side duties include but are not limited to:
• Assisting with keeping kitchen clean 
• Assisting with keeping bathrooms tidy, garbage emptied.
• Assisting with keeping storage and common areas clean, assist with recycle, cardboard, etc as needed.
• Assisting with basic food preparation ie. snacks served after kitchen closes.
