Bartender/Server

Some professional bartending experience is required for this position.

We are hiring a bartender/server. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience working in a cocktail focused and/or high volume bar.  Some professional bartending experience is required however, we will train you on cocktails if you have the passion and dedication. Wine, beer and spirits knowledge would be a major asset and although not mandatory, candidate will be expected to learn the basics of wine. A desire to learn and grow is essential.

Additionally, we are looking for someone who wants to contribute in a creative capacity. We release quarterly cocktail menus and are seeking an individual with fresh ideas and a passion for recipe development.

This is a part-time position with room for growth. Candidate must be available to work two to four shifts a week, including Tuesday afternoons, Friday and Saturday nights, and be comfortable working late hours. Schedule preferences will be discussed during the hiring process. Smart Serve certification is required.

Responsibilities include:

  • Bartending and serving tables. This is a hybrid position so candidate will need to be comfortable taking both serving and bartending shifts.
  • Welcoming and engaging customers, and making recommendations based on guest preferences.
  • Building relationships with regulars.
  • Deep classic cocktail knowledge and the ability to memorize numerous recipes..
  • Wine service. Knowledge of our wine, spirits, beer and cider list.
  • Assisting with inventory when needed.
  • Maintaining a clean work environment.
  • Staying up to date on trends in beverage.
  • Working with the bar team on cocktail creation and recipe development.
  • Assisting the bar manager with weekly recipe preparation. 
  • Setting and clearing tables. Assisting other servers and bartenders when needed. 
  • Opening, closing and side duties include but are not limited to:
    • Assisting with keeping kitchen clean 
    • Assisting with keeping bathrooms tidy, garbage emptied.
    • Assisting with keeping storage and common areas clean, assist with recycle, cardboard, etc as needed.
    • Assisting with basic food preparation ie. snacks served after kitchen closes.
